Pink noise

Soft Pink is an even bed of noise with gentler highs than white noise. A quiet starting point if a bright hiss feels too present.

Your current timer applies. Free sessions last up to 60 minutes and fade gently; you can start again whenever you like. Start at a low device volume.

What you'll hear

Pink noise distributes energy evenly across octaves rather than across every frequency. It sounds less sharp than white noise, with both a low body and audible upper texture. Descriptions such as rain-like refer to the character, not to a recording of rainfall.

When to try it

Try a low level while reading, winding down or comparing the noises you hear from your room. It may make small changes in background sound less noticeable. Personal preference matters; laboratory research does not establish pink noise as the best sound for sleep, and Stillnight has not been clinically tested.

Evidence for continuous noise improving sleep is limited and mixed. Read our sources and limitations. These adult listening pages are not infant safety guidance; parents should start with Baby mode.

Make it your own

Soft Pink starts with the pink-noise layer only. Use Mix to lower Noise, introduce a little synthesized rain, or compare brown and white at a comfortable volume. Your chosen timer stays in place when you switch sound.

Open Mix

Does this pink noise contain music or rain?

No. Soft Pink starts without music, rain or fan layers. You can add synthesized rain or airflow in the mixer, but that makes a custom mix rather than pure pink noise.
