Rain sounds

Night Rain combines a deep brown-noise floor with a gently shifting rain texture. A sense of weather, made in your browser rather than recorded outdoors.

Free · no sign-up

Your current timer applies. Free sessions last up to 60 minutes and fade gently; you can start again whenever you like. Start at a low device volume.

What you'll hear

The rain layer is filtered noise with a slow swell and a brighter layer for droplet-like texture. The underlying brown noise gives it weight. It does not contain an actual storm, individual recorded raindrops or a hidden thunder track.

When to try it

Choose this if a little movement feels more comfortable than a completely even hiss. Listen first while awake: the brighter texture can be pleasing to one person and distracting to another. A rain-like background can soften contrast with quiet room sounds, but it is not a proven sleep therapy.

Evidence for continuous noise improving sleep is limited and mixed. Read our sources and limitations. These adult listening pages are not infant safety guidance; parents should start with Baby mode.

Make it your own

In Mix, Rain controls the weather-like texture and Noise controls the underlying floor. Reduce Rain for a steadier result, or reduce Noise to hear more of the texture. Airflow starts off. These controls are independent of the master volume.

Are these real rain recordings?

No. Night Rain is synthesized on your device. Its continuous texture is an approximation, not a field recording; the artwork sets the mood but is not the source of the audio.
