White noise
Moonlit White is a bright, consistent hiss. There is no melody to follow and no rain or fan layer in the starting mix.
Your current timer applies. Free sessions last up to 60 minutes and fade gently; you can start again whenever you like. Start at a low device volume.
What you'll hear
White noise has equal energy per frequency interval. Because higher octaves contain more frequencies, it can sound brighter than pink or brown noise. Your speaker and hearing change what you perceive; it need not sound like the same hiss on every device.
When to try it
A broad hiss may make quiet speech or intermittent household sounds less distinct for some listeners. That is masking, not silence or noise cancellation. If the brightness draws your attention instead, lower the volume or compare Soft Pink rather than trying to overpower the room.
Evidence for continuous noise improving sleep is limited and mixed. Read our sources and limitations. These adult listening pages are not infant safety guidance; parents should start with Baby mode.
Make it your own
Moonlit White starts with the white-noise layer alone. In Mix, adjust Noise separately from master volume. Rain and Airflow begin at zero, and can be added if an unchanging hiss feels too plain. Keep a timer suited to the period you actually want to listen.
Open MixWill white noise block every disturbance?
No. Sudden loud sounds can still stand out. Avoid raising playback to cover loud noise, and never mask alarms or other signals you need to hear. There is no guarantee that white noise improves sleep.
